Nov. 24, media agency STROOM organized a Bundraiser for its client Justdiggit to contribute to their important goal of greening Africa. This event aimed to raise as much money as possible for Justdiggit. Dozens of operators and other partners were guests to help us achieve this goal.
What does Justdiggit do?
Justdiggit is on a mission to green Africa to help cool the earth. By rolling out diverse projects using nature-based greening techniques, they are helping to reduce global warming by 37%.
One technique is to dig Bunds (also called earth smiles). By collecting rainwater using these crescent-shaped bunds, water has time to soak into the soil instead of being washed away. Thus, they bring back vegetation in places where it was not possible before. This vegetation cools the environment, restores the ecosystem and makes the land usable again for communities.
Entertainment
This joyous evening was filled with entertainment ranging from a fun pub quiz to a swinging live performance by the "STROOMBUND Band. Guests could enjoy the live entertainment this evening while enjoying a drink and a tasty snack. But in the end, it was all about one thing: raising money to regrow as much vegetation as possible.
Result: 22,940m2 of greening
On this special evening, thanks to the enthusiastic participation of all STROOM partners, a total amount of €1,480 was raised!
This means 185 bunds or 22,940m2 of greening!
