We like to introduce our colleagues to you. In this interview we introduce you to Nele, Jr. Research & Insights at STROOM.
Who are you?
My name is Nele Berghs, I am 21 years old and recently started working part-time at STROOM. I was born in Roermond, but currently live in Eindhoven where I am still working on my graduation at Fontys.
How do you fill your position at STROOM?
I fill the position of Junior Research & Insights Consultant, supporting the insights team by creating audience analyses and reports.
What did you do for this?
At the moment I am still graduating from the Commercial Economics course and hope to finish it soon. Furthermore, I have actually always worked as a catering assistant, especially at events.
What are your growth aspirations?
After my bachelor I want to start and successfully complete a master's degree. Furthermore, in this position I hope to further develop my skills and grow in the data industry to discover which aspect suits me best.
What energizes you in your work?
In my work, I get energy from variety and the chance to learn something new every day. Not standing still, but growing gives a nice and fulfilled feeling that I like to create together with my colleagues.
What do you get energy from in your free time?
In my free time, I get most of my energy from sports and spending time with my friends. This allows me to relax and recharge for the new day.
What is your favorite meal?
My favorite meal is curry with naan bread. This is a dish that can be eaten daily and is also reasonably healthy.
What is your favorite type of vacation? And vacation country?
My favorite vacation consists of a mix of chilling and adventures, such as canoeing and climbing. I have done this since I was little and I have never really stopped doing this. My favorite countries to spend these vacations are France and Italy because of the sea and different opportunities for adventure.
What is your favorite sport?
I played volleyball for a long time and I still enjoy this sport. At the moment, however, I am more active in rowing and climbing and enjoy this as well.
What medium are you most a fan of?
Spotify and Netflix are my favorite media. On the road I actually always have music or a podcast in my ears, and assumed at home I like to watch a movie on Netflix.

Life is either a daring adventure or nothing at all.
