STROOM tips #7: Action in the summer

During these summer days, you may begin to feel bored. But for that, we have some viewing tips to combat boredom.

  • Special Forces VIPS

As many as fourteen recruits, both known and unknown Dutchmen, participate in the toughest training in the Netherlands and undergo their greatest fears. During this exclusive training, the candidates are stripped of their status, luxury and their names. Various assignments must be carried out under the guidance of the staff. As soon as instructions are given by the staff, they must be followed immediately even if it is the middle of the night. If they perform the task incorrectly or not within the time, the entire group is punished. When a candidate no longer sees the training or cannot keep up with the group, he or she should utter the three words "I give up." How far do the recruits dare and can they go? And who overcomes themselves and possesses traits that belong to special forces operators? Then quickly watch the final season exclusively on Videoland. Enthusiastic after watching it? Don't be sad, because multiple seasons have already been recorded and are available to watch!

  • The last dance

I heartily recommend the docuseries "The Last Dance." This engaging and compelling documentary provides a unique behind-the-scenes look at the legendary basketball team, the Chicago Bulls, and their ultimate season in 1997-1998. Featuring exclusive footage and interviews with players such as Michael Jordan, Scottie Pippen and coach Phil Jackson, "The Last Dance" offers not only an unforgettable sports experience, but also valuable insights into leadership, teamwork and the pursuit of excellence. To be seen on Netflix.

  • Babylon Berlin

Babylon Berlin is a German series set in the Weimar Republic in the roaring twenties. It revolves around German police inspector Gereon Rath who is trying to uncover an extortion scandal and Charlotte Ritter, a young stenographer who wants to become a police inspector. The series' genre is Neo-noir thriller which means it can be very sinister at times but there is certainly plenty of humor involved as well. It is a slightly lesser known series in the Netherlands but really recommended if you like a series with lots of good cliffhangers and a good storyline. It can still be seen on Disney+ (the last season is unfortunately only available on a German streaming platform).
