- The Everything, Dave Eggers
A compelling but also frightening sequel to The Circle. In the book, the world's largest tech company, the Circle, merges with the most powerful e-commerce company.
This creates the richest, most dangerous - and, oddly enough, the most beloved - monopoly ever: the Every.
If you look around in the Netherlands, you see the parallels every day: Google that would merge with Facebook. And that gives food for thought, but at the same time makes it a great book because of the blurred line between reality and illusion. Recommended for all marketing professionals: for your learning and enjoyment.

- The Mediameiden
Tamar and Fanny are two girls who work on editorial boards of different talk shows. Besides colleagues, they are also best friends and go over the juiciest media news from the showbiz industry every week. Playfully (their catch phrase), backstage anecdotes are shared and the best chips and cheese croissant are tested and ranked for snacking in front of the tube. In short, it's a light-hearted podcast that gives you a behind-the-scenes look at Hollywood. Recommended is to listen to the episode Fear Culture in which Fanny talks about her experiences of the work culture behind the scenes at De Wereld Draait Door where she worked for two seasons.

- La Brea
A series in the ranks of Under The Dome, Manifest and Departure. A combination of adventure, Sci-fi and fantasy best describes this alienating drama series.
La Brea is about a group of people who end up in the LA of thousands of years BC due to a sinkhole and must survive there while finding a way to return. A family gets torn apart and must unravel secrets to get back together. A fat tip for anyone who loves mystery stories with surprising plottwists. For example, the father has visions to his wife and son in the "primordial world" and finds the necklace she loses there. To tell more would spoil the surprise when you go to see it (Kijk.nl). Definitely do!
